About
An independent introduction
I'm Pete. I started Samudera Estates because buying property in Indonesia from overseas is harder than it should be, and most of the advice online is either a sales pitch or out of date.
I work with a small number of developers I know personally. When someone enquires, I answer their questions first, send the full details, and only make an introduction when they're ready. I'd rather introduce five buyers who are a good fit than fifty who aren't.
The name. Samudera is Indonesian for "ocean." The site starts in Lombok, the first island east of Bali, and will grow along the islands beyond it.
I'm not a lawyer, notary or financial adviser, and I don't pretend to be. For the legal and tax side, I'll always point you to independent professionals in Indonesia and at home.
How I'm paid. When a buyer I introduce completes a purchase, the developer pays me a referral fee. It doesn't change your price, and I tell every buyer about it up front.
